How Adoption Works at ArtemisMoon Coons

Bringing a kitten home is such a special experience, and we try to keep the process at ArtemisMoon Coons simple, thoughtful, and centered around making the best possible match for both the kitten and their future family.

Each of our kittens is raised closely in our home, and we spend a lot of time getting to know their personalities as they grow. Because of that, our adoption process is designed to be a little more personal than a simple first-come, first-served system.

Our Approach

We care deeply about where each kitten goes, and our goal is always to match the right kitten with the right home.

Some kittens are more easygoing and adaptable, while others may be a bit more sensitive or thrive in calmer environments. For example, we may guide a more sensitive kitten toward a quieter home, while a more confident kitten may do well in a busier setting.

This isn’t about being strict—it’s simply about setting each kitten up to feel comfortable, secure, and happy in their new home.

The Adoption Process

Here’s what you can expect:

1. Reach Out
You’re welcome to contact us to express interest in a current or future litter.

2. Getting to Know You
We may ask a few simple questions about your home, lifestyle, and what you’re looking for in a kitten. This helps us understand what kind of personality would be the best fit.

3. Watching the Litter Grow
Kittens are not selected immediately at birth. Over the first several weeks, their personalities begin to emerge, and we share updates along the way.

4. Choosing Your Kitten
When the time is right, we’ll help guide the selection process based on personality, temperament, and fit with your home.

5. Reservation
A deposit is placed once a kitten is selected to reserve them.

6. Growing & Updates
You’ll continue to receive updates as your kitten grows and gets ready for their new home.

7. Go-Home Day
Kittens go home once they are ready—typically after they’ve had time to develop socially and physically.

A Thoughtful Match

Our goal is for every kitten to transition smoothly and confidently into their new home.

We don’t expect perfect homes—just thoughtful ones. A little bit of guidance on both sides helps ensure that each kitten ends up in a place where they can truly thrive.
